Palace is built in a rectangular shape on a large site of 597,000 m2, with the
main gate Gwanghwamun on the south, Geonchunmun on the east, Yeongchumun on
the west, and Shinmumun on the north. Within the palace are several palaces,
including Geunjeongjeon, Gyotaejeon, Jagyeongjeon, Gyeonghoeru, and
Hyangwonjeong.

・Changdeokgung Palace

Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is divided into three main
areas: the palace grounds, which are the official space, the palace where the
royal family lived, and the gardens. Changdeokgung Palace is the only palace
that retains the traditions of palace architecture from the Joseon Dynasty,
and the gardens, which were used as a place of rest for the kings, are a place
where landscaped facilities such as giant trees, ponds, and pavilions that are
over 300 years old, blend in with nature.

・Jongmyo Shrine

Jongmyo Shrine is a Confucian shrine that enshrined the spirit tablets (divine
titles) of the kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty. Jongmyo Shrine is a
Joseon Dynasty shrine architecture consisting of the Jeongjeon and

traditions of Korean Confucianism, with ceremonies still being held today. Its
