You will start the journey having a city tour in Yerevan. Yerevan is the capital city of Armenia which is already 2800 years old. You will head to the Centre of Yerevan, Republic Square.

Right at Republic Square, you will visit the National Art Gallery of Armenia where you will have a walk through the great artworks. Then, you will head to the Opera House via Northern Avenue. This is the busiest street in Yerevan with a wide variety of shops, hotels and cafes.

Then you get to the Opera House, an amazing building with a number of statues around it and children playing and enjoying the lively atmosphere in the city. Near the Opera House, you will also see a small lake called Swan Lake.

Continue the way as you are going to see Cascade Complex, the staircase going up the hill. The whole area of the complex is an open-air museum hosting exhibits of modern art. Getting to the top you will enjoy the perfect view of the city.

Next day you will go to the Kotayk region where you will be amazed by the greatness of the constructions you are going to visit. First, you will visit Geghard Monastery, a 4th-century monastic complex standing among huge mountains.

Get prepared! You are heading to the northern region of Armenia. Of course, it doesn’t mean the weather is changing for the worse, but you are going to visit the greenest part of our country. In the morning you will come to Dilijan, a small city with a super-rich nature. Not far from Dilijan, Haghartsin Monastery stands in the middle of the forest. The monastery has been a very important Centre for educational and cultural development.
