This is an ideal tour if you want to see and enjoy the Croatian capital and visit it as part of a one-day tour from Opatija or Rijeka. We start with a drive from Opatija which lasts approximately 2 hours (depending on traffic) to reach Zagreb. As soon as we get there we head to the center where we start the "drive" part of the tour, by covering the larger Green Horseshoe of Zagreb and it's main sights. This part of the city was mostly build after the 1850s and it is full with parks, galleries, embassies, important buildings. After we see the main sights of the downtown, we parking the car we continue for a walking tour of the upper town of Zagreb - Kaptol and Gradec where the history of the city lies. We discover how the city developed through the ages, what makes it unique and interesting and we cover the main highlights of the cities' past and present. This tour lasts approximately 1,5 hours, followed by some free time in the city before driving back from Zagreb to Opatija.
