Highlights

We will meet you at 9.30am Wellington Station then shuttle up to the start of the trail at Kaitoke. Follow the meandering Hutt River downhill from its source to its end at Seaview, then ride around the coastline to the beautiful Days Bay. You can either drop your bikes off at Wildfinder Days Bay and go for a paddle on a kayak or SUP (open during summer only), then jump on the ferry back to Wellington. 46km of moderate riding, suitable for riders with reasonable levels of fitness.

    Your start point. Ride through the Pakuratahi Forest, through native bush & a tunnel

  • Te Awa Kairangi / Hutt River

    Cycle The Hutt River Trail, passing through the Hutt Valley countryside, woth plenty of picnic spots & swimming holes on the way. At the mouth of the river, cycle around the Eastern Bays to Days Bay.

    Congratulations, you've made it to Days Bay! Enjoy and incecream on the beach, or try one of our kayaks or SUPs (summer only) before catching the East by West ferry back to Wellington CBD
