Stroll through the bustling Souq, experiencing local life, and continue to the 2nd-century Roman Theater, an amphitheater with 6,000 seats. In the afternoon, drive to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Known for its remarkable blend of Greco-Roman and Oriental influences, Jerash is especially beautiful in spring with its rolling hills and lush greenery. The city also hosts the annual Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts, a three-week summer celebration of music, dance, and theatrical performances. Return to Amman for overnight. Overnight in Amman.

Day 3: Eastern Jordan – Desert Castles Today, explore the fascinating Desert Castles of eastern Jordan. Begin with Qasr Amra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its zodiac dome and some of the earliest examples of Umayyad fresco paintings. Continue to the enigmatic Qasr Kharanah, a fortress whose original purpose remains a mystery. Finally, visit the striking Azraq Castle, a black basalt fort with a rich history dating back to Roman and medieval Islamic periods.

Day 4: Madaba – Mount Nebo – Al-Mujib – Shobak – Petra After breakfast, drive to Madaba to see the famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine in St. George’s Church. Continue with a short drive to Mount Nebo, where Prophet Moses is believed to have gazed upon the Promised Land before his passing. Travel south along the historic King’s Way, making a brief stop at Wadi Al-Mujib, a magnificent valley known for its stunning geological formations. In Shobak, explore the ancient Crusader castle perched dramatically on a rocky conical mountain. Afterward, continue to Petra, check in to your hotel, and enjoy your evening at leisure. Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum Today, visit the legendary Rose Red City of Petra, Jordan’s most iconic attraction. Founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, Petra became the center of a flourishing commercial empire. Begin at the Visitor Center and pass through the dramatic Siq, a narrow gorge leading to Petra’s most stunning monument: the Treasury (Al-Khazneh). Continue along the Street of Facades, explore the Theatre, and admire the Royal Tombs carved into the rose-colored cliffs. Afterward, drive approximately 1.5 hours south to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most spectacular desert landscapes.
