This fortified village has served as the backdrop for many Hollywood productions, including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia. Historically, it was also a strategic fortress on the ancient caravan routes linking Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech. We will then continue to Ouarzazate, where we will make a photo stop at the Taourirt Kasbah. The journey will then lead us along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Skoura Oasis, the Valley of Roses, and charming Berber villages. After a short walk inside the gorges, we will drive to Erfoud, known as the city of dates and fossils. We will arrive at the Merzouga Desert before sunset and make a quick stop at a hotel near the sand dunes, where you will switch from the car to camels. The camel ride to your desert camp will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with scenic stops along the way for unforgettable photos. Upon arrival at the camp, you can enjoy a hot shower, followed by dinner and a traditional live music performance around the campfire.
