Then you will go to Coptic Cairo also called old Cairo where you will see the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon (2nd century A.D), and visit the hanging church of Virgin Mary built over the fortress tower, the church of Abu Serga (St. Sergio) with Holy Crypt where the Holy Family stayed for three months and the Synagogue of Ben Ezra, believed to be the place where Baby Moses was found by the Pharaoh’s wife.
Later you will go to Islamic Cairo to Visit Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa (school); followed by a visit to El-Rifa'i Mosque.

This was part of a vast campaign by the 19th century rulers of Egypt to both associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier periods in Egypt's Islamic history and modernize the city.
