We had a very enjoyable full-day tour that was well-paced and guided by a knowledgeable tour guide. The itinerary was fully covered, with an added stop at a papyrus workshop. While this wasn’t advertised, we expected it since such visits often help support guides through commissions. The stop was still interesting, and we never felt pressured to buy—though one staff member followed us closely to share more information. In the end, we chose to purchase a piece ourselves and had our names written in hieroglyphics, which was a nice touch. The main reason for not giving 5 stars is that the guide did not accompany us throughout the sites. He gave introductions at the entrances and then left us to explore on our own. While this approach worked in some cases, we expected the guide to follow us around—since that’s what a tour normally is—sharing insights and engaging with us during the experience, especially around the pyramids. Still, he was knowledgeable, and we tipped both him and the driver generously. Overall, we had a good time and we would recommend this tour.
