Highlights

Arad was once in the middle of the Austrian – Hungarian Monarchy. Germans, Hungarians, Romanians, Serbs, and Jews have lived here peacefully over the centuries and built together a culture that is hard to imagine anywhere else!
We will talk about the golden age dating back to the beginning of the 20th century when most of the buildings we admire today were built. We will explore the multiculturality of the city through the stories about those who inhabited it and we will learn about heroes undressed by their uniforms in the Romanian – Hungarian Reconciliation Park! History, architecture and the stories of those who walked this way and lived over the centuries in a fascinating environment!

The highly eclectic building that houses the concert hall and the local museum will deliver us a view into the history of architecture. Each side was made in a different style and so is the interior. A masterpiece ready to amaze you!
  • Neumann Palace(Pass by)

The building was the property of probably the most famous jewish family in Arad. Even if they do not live there anymore, people respect them for all that they did for the city.
  • St. Anthony of Padua Church

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
This marvel of neo renaissance architecture is like a small poetical copy of Saint Peter Basilica in Vatican. The architect has hidden in it a lot of meaning that is ready to be discovered!
  • The Atonement Park of Arad

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
It's actually called "The Reconciliation Park" and is the most visited place in Arad, as it has a huge significance for the Hungarian nation. The Liberty Statue, placed here since 2004, is one of the most remarkable works of art to be found on the streets of the city.
