The Opera Maniacs Tour is here! Rome is, and was in the past, one of the most important artistic squares in Europe. Rossini directed the premiere of the 'Barber of Seville' at the Argentina theater, Scarlatti gladdened the courts of the nobility in private halls, the city was full of theaters and auditoriums for concerts. Some important theatres are closed, other were destroiyed but were historical places of premieres like 'Un ballo in Maschera' , or 'Il Trovatore' .We will see where Verdi lived and Mascagni lodged and composed 'Cavalleria Rusticana'. We will talk about Puccini's opera Tosca, listening to excerpts and bringing them to life in the places where the drama took place: Church of Sant'Andrea nella Valle, Palazzo Farnese from outside, view of Castel Sant'Angelo.
