It is one of the most emblematic buildings in Bocairent, where the main characteristics of Valencian art come together, from the Gothic to the 19th century. Built on the old Arab castle, and consecrated in 1516, it was originally made in the Gothic style, and adapted later to the baroque tastes of the moment. We will have the opportunity to enter and let ourselves be captivated by its majestic interior.

We are going to explore the group of cuevas-ventanas, or artificial caves with window-shaped holes, hanging in the middle of a rocky cliff. Located in the Barranc de la Fos, it is the most complex and numerous group, by far, of the entire headwaters of the Clariano river, where there are other small groups in the ravines.

The Bocairent snowfields or cellars were used to collect snow and use it later. Despite the fact that this activity was important during the Kingdom of Valencia and in later times, it is worth mentioning that its origin dates back to the East, in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, as well as in Mesopotamia, in addition to collecting written records of a "cold house". in Ur (2000 BC), among other places in the world.
