Taishan, located about 140km from Guangzhou, is the hometown of many overseas Chinese. There are still plenty of old buildings, villages, and towers in Taishan to display the history that Chinese moved to abroad from their home about 150—100 years ago. This private tour will let you take a private vehicle to Taishan, then you will visit Maijia Courtyard, and historical street area with your local guide. You have opportunity to learn the history, culture and architecture in Taishan. Moreover, you will taste the delicious local lunch including Tofu, eel rice and chicken. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your Guangzhou hotel.

5 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedAt 8:30am, we will pick you up from your centrally located hotel in Tianhe, Yuexiu, Liwan or Zhizhu District in Guangzhou, otherwise meet you at the meeting place. Then you will take 2.5-hour car ride to Taishan. Firstly, you will visit the Meijia Courtyard or Mei's Grand Courtyard. It is an old town where there are many old buildings that were built 100 - 150 years ago by rich overseas Chinese family. The town has been preserved very well since it was built, now it is a wonderful place to shoot the movies and photos.Chengdong Road
5 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThen you will head to explore Taishan historical street area, where you will learn the history and culture about these overseas Chinese in their hometown. The history here can be tracked back to 100 years ago when the overseas Chinese built their hometown. There are nice Qilou old buildings along the old streets. Moreover, you can buy local snacks or souvenirs here. Later, you will take about 2.5-hour car ride back to your Guangzhou hotel where the tour concludes.
