Built in the twelfth century, the Citadel of Saladin is a place with a past full of momentous historical events for the current future of Egypt. Its walls and superb location make it one of the most wonderful and entertaining tours of Cairo. At the top of the hill sits Citadel of Saladin, which owes its name to the constructor of its eastern wall, Salah Eddin Al-Ayoubi.
