Overall, it was a good day trip to Alexandria, but the drive there was quite stressful. The journey of just above two hours felt nerve-wracking as our driver sped down the motorway like it was Mario Cart. To add to that, he was about 30 minutes late for the pickup. Once we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Reem, our tour guide in Alexandria. She was excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, and made the experience really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend visiting, but I’d suggest taking the train instead of going by car. It’s likely to be a much smoother and more pleasant journey, without the stress of fearing for your safety on the road.
