Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797–1861) was a late Edo period ukiyo-e artist. Known for his eccentric ideas, modern design sense, and humor, he created innovative works that redefined the history of ukiyo-e and enjoys great popularity both in Japan and internationally. This definitive Kuniyoshi exhibition showcases approximately 400 works, including warrior prints, caricatures, woodblock prints, and hand-painted pieces.
