In this 1h session, the power of sound and vibration is harnessed to create a delightfully restful and relaxing environment in which you can put down the cares and worries of your day to day activities and just BE.
Singing bowls are nondescript looking instruments which produces specific tones and frequencies based on their size, shape and material. These tones are soothing and it is natural for the body to be receptive to sound - just think of music and how it makes you feel.
In a sound therapy session, a more primal form of sound is used, so that the brain does not become over-stimulated, as in the case with music, but instead relaxes, becomes more still, more restful and allows you to become more mindful, more aware and more centered within your body. The bowls are struck in a rhythmic way in a slow pace. The body's nervous system starts to slow down, breathing deepens and muscles relax.
This opens the door for you to become more aware of yourself and sometimes results in spontaneous states of meditation, focus and sleep. A minimum of 8 singing bowls of different types will be used to provide a diversity of tones and frequencies in order to provide your body's biofield with what it needs.
Many participants report feelings of stress relief, relaxation and many fall asleep or go into a power nap in the session. This session is generally safe for all and is not religious. There are no requirements other than to come with an open and receptive heart and mind.
