This unique locking system has 16 different locks, making it a masterpiece of medieval craftsmanship. The door was designed to keep the valuables inside the church safe from thieves, and it remains a symbol of the village's historic importance. • Biertan Village: The village itself is incredibly charming, with colorful houses and cobblestone streets that give it an authentic medieval feel.
