Chapel of the Descent from the Cross: One of the many chapels found in the Cathedral, the Chapel of the Descent from the Cross is the most theatrical one. It was named after the altarpiece by Juan de Juni featuring the deposition of Christ’s body from the cross. Profound expressions, Italian mannerism and gold are all there. Quite spacious with an amazing view, this was quite the place to be. The only minus; the 130 steps the bellringer had to climb to ring the bells.
