One of Bangkok’s oldest temples from Ayutthaya era, which lasted until 1767. Mostly known for its 80 meter hill called the Golden Mount and the golden stupa on top of it used to be the highest point in Bangkok for long time. Reaching up to the stupa on top of the Mountain, requires a 318 step climbing the hill. To make sure you happily get there, funny statues along the path making the climb cheerful while huge prayer bells that Buddhist people strike producing a very deep tone for good luck. From the top, you have a fabulous view of Bangkok in all directions.

The old quarter of Bangkok includes Chinatown. It is very colorful with a vast variety of restaurants and street vendors. We visit Thian Fah Charity Foundation Hospital, which was established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1903 and completed in 1905.
