Itinerary Day 1 Arrival in Moshi, transfer to hotel for briefing and rest. Day 2 You will be picked up at your hotel and drop off at Shira Plateau (11,483 ft) where you will begin your trek to Shira 1 camp (11,499ft) 2-3hrs Day 3 Continue the ascent from Shira 1 camp to Shira 2 camp (12,598ft), crossing the Shira Plateau. Experience different climates and vegetation zones as we reach higher altitudes. 4-5 hrs. Day 4 Trek from Shira 2 camp to Barranco camp (12,959ft) via the Lava Tower (15,091ft). This day is crucial for acclimatization as we hike to a high altitude and then descend to sleep at a lower elevation. 6-7 hrs. Day 5 Ascend from Barranco camp to Karanga camp ( 13,106ft) through the famous Barranco Wall. 4-5 hrs Day 6 Trek from Karanga camp to Barafu camp (15,223ft), our last camp before the summit. 4-5 hrs Day 7 New Year' Eve summit! Depart from Barafu camp in the early hours of the morning to reach the Uhuru Peak (19,340ft), descend to Mweka camp. 14-16 hrs Day 8 Happy New Year! Descend to Mweka Gate, transfer back to Moshi. Day 9 Airport drop off or onto safari adventure
