The route begins outside the Upper Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi.

In Piazza del Comune the Roman remains blend perfectly with the medieval architecture, as happens with the facade of the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva.

The tour ends with a visit to the Basilica of Santa Chiara, the Gothic style church is one of the symbols of the city and owes its construction to the citizens of Assisi who decided to dedicate a church to Clare of Assisi, the famous saint who followed in the footsteps of Saint Francis. The white and pink color of the stones of Monte Subasio characterizes the splendid façade which, especially at sunset, reflects the light of the sun creating suggestive plays of light and shadow; a show that gives peace and serenity to those who observe.
