－What You Can Expect－

During this experience, you will witness a traditional tea ceremony in a
tearoom in Tokyo’s Yanaka district, which has a nostalgic atmosphere, as it
was spared from wartime bombings. Before the ceremony, each person will make
two pieces of nerikiri, a delicate and beautiful Japanese confectionery, based
on seasonal designs. You can enjoy one with the tea ceremony and take the
other home. Then, you can pick an antique tea bowl to use and watch the tea
ceremony performed by an English-speaking master. Matcha and hojicha tea, and
the nerikiri ingredients are included. The tearoom has chairs, and there is no
need to remove shoes. Please notify dietary restrictions in advance. The
meeting place—a 5-minute walk from Nippori Station—will be shared upon
booking. Arrive 10 minutes early to set up. The tour starts strictly on time;
no refund for late arrival.
