We begin with self-introductions and a talk about the charm of sweet bean paste, followed by an explanation of the day's schedule. White bean paste colored with natural powders from vegetables and fruits is prepared. The instructor demonstrates how to pipe flowers using white and red bean paste, providing careful guidance. Then, participants practice piping flowers themselves. The piped flowers are placed on ohagi arranged in a box, finished with bamboo grove decorations. After completion, enjoy a light meal and a photo session of your work. Matcha tea will be served. The completed box can be taken home. Sweet bean paste lace and a gift will also be provided.

We will begin with self-introductions and a short talk about the charm of anko (sweet red bean paste).
Our white bean paste is blended with naturally derived fruit powders and beauty-enhancing ingredients, making it both delicious and beneficial for your inner beauty.
The instructor will demonstrate how to pipe a flower (anemone) using bean paste. You will then receive detailed guidance and hands-on practice.
Participants will pipe their own anemone flowers and decorate mini ohagi (sweet rice cakes) with them, completing four shades of pink anemones.
After finishing, you will enjoy a light meal and have time to photograph your creations. Matcha (green tea) will also be served.
You may take your boxed creations home. A special "anko lace" gift is included.

Highlights
Eme.Amore is a small-group sweets class located just a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Shinjuku Station, specializing in traditional Japanese flower art using sweet bean paste.
We use traditional red bean paste and glutinous rice, enhanced with naturally colored powders made from fruits and vegetables to create vibrant, flower-shaped sweets — each one piped carefully by hand. You’ll experience the beauty of Japan’s four seasons through the art of wagashi making. Even beginners can feel at ease, as each participant receives attentive and personalized instruction.
Lessons are also available in English, and English recipes are provided so you can recreate the sweets at home.
