To start this tour we’ll leave from the hotels in specially equipped trucks accompanied by an official guide. The jeeps are in excellent conditions and each passenger will have the chance to drive at some point along the way. We’ll stop at different plantations; in the sugar cane plantations we’ll discover the bateye settlements and discover how their inhabitants live. On the tobacco plantation tour you’ll learn about the process, from sewing to packing. You’ll also visit plantations growing cocoa, coffee, bananas, mangoes, avocados, ginger, breadfruit, chestnuts, papayas, pineapples, different tubers, citrus fruit and medicinal plants. You’ll toast with delicious organic natural cocoa, coffee and snack of tropical fruit, and even enjoy a sip of Mamajuana (typical Dominican drink). When we reach Rancho Monte Río, set in the Higüeyanas mountains, we’ll have a delicious Dominican lunch, ride a zip-line and end with a visit to the spectacular Macao beach."
