The different pavilions are symmetrically arranged and are decorated with brightly colored paintings and wooden bas-reliefs. The roofs are covered with very elaborate ceramic tiles, wavy gables and friezes in ceramic green and blue, very beautifully carved, representing mythological scenes. The corners are decorated with beautiful blue ceramic vases. At the entrance are the guardians of the temple, a man and a woman. The temple was mainly built for an association of clans: the Chan, the Chen and the Tan. On the central altar are the statues of the three founders of the clans, and on both sides, pictures represent the deceased members of their families. Paintings depicting warriors fighting lions, dragons and mythical creatures frame the main altar. The temple is both a sanctuary and a community center.
