Highlights

This year, the theme An Undiscovered World invites you to enjoy a journey through ice and snow sculptures that amaze and delight.


Discover the ocean's depths with sea creatures, soar through the skies, and uncover the secrets of distant galaxies. Explore dense jungles filled with surprises, all designed to captivate both young and old.


The Ice Sculpture Festival in Biddinghuizen brings these fantasies to life with impressive sculptures that reach up to 6 meters high. In addition to the ice art, visitors can also enjoy a lively street art exhibition showcasing this growing art form.


From December 14, 2023, to March 2, 2025, visit the festival at its new location: Strandgaperweg 20, Biddinghuizen, and enjoy more than 1,500 square meters of exciting discoveries.

Must Know
There are no lockers and no cloakroom
Bags can be taken inside
Outside food and beverages are forbidden
Pre Purchase
Make sure to get a stamp from ticket control to re-enter
Children 0-3 get in for free and don't need a ticket
Usage
Show your ticket at the entrance of the Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival
Arrive on time for your chosen time slot
Post Purchase
There is a separate warm hospitality area where you can enjoy a hot chocolate or Glühwein before or after your visit
If you want to visit the exhibition for a second time you can use the warm hospitality room in the meantime
Outside food and drinks are forbidden
Please be aware that during holiday season, queues may form. We will do our best to minimize this and have everything
run as smoothly as possible.

How to get there:
Arriving by car
Navigate to Nederlands IJsbeelden Festival or Strandgaperweg 20, Biddinghuizen via Google Maps. Follow the signs and flags marked IJsbeelden Festival to reach the venue
Arriving by Public Transport
Take a train to Harderwijk Station or Dronten Station
From there, transfer to bus 147 heading to the Bremerbergweg bus stop
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, a dedicated IJsbeelden shuttle bus will take you from the Bremerbergweg bus stop to the festival grounds and back
During the Christmas holidays, the shuttle bus runs daily (except on Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
Feel free to wait at the bus stop; the shuttle service is coordinated with the arrival times of bus 147
