You'll be one of the first people to arrive at the auction site at 05:00 and see the brokers checking deep inside the tuna with flashlights as they assess the quality. Then, witness the famous tuna auction starting at 05:30.

After tuna auction, a sushi breakfast at a highly recommended restaurant. the freshest sushi you have ever eaten!

You'll also tour the old market town of Tsukiji where the auction used to take place — still a vibrant and interesting place where you can visit the Tsukiji External Market (Jogai Ichiba).

Application for the lower observation deck

• We usually observe the tuna auction from the upper deck. There is also a special lower observation deck limited to 100 people each day, only for visitors who apply in advance.
• If you'd like to watch from the lower deck, you need to apply by the middle of the month before your intended visit. Please book well in advance if you want to apply for access to the lower deck.
