Pick up at 6 am. After 2hr we will stop to have breakfast. Then we will continue for another 2hr, with several beautiful photo-stops on the way.
The last part of our trip to the cave is a 30-minute hike. There are some spectacular rock paintings to be found during this hike, which we will point out to you. They are is now considered to be one of the most significant discoveries, in terms of quantity and quality of the paintings.
In the cave,you can clearly see handprints and drawings of animal figures, mostly dark red in colour, dating about 10,000 and 5,500 years BC, They also found numerous animal remains in the cave. According to archaeologists, this means that the cave was used as a refuge by nomads.
We will walk back to our car and a 20- minute drive will bring us to the most important inscription of this area, with the name War Scene. We'll have lunch in this amazing scenery before we slowly head back to Dahab.
