Owakudani
It is a volcanic valley in Hakone and famous for its active sulfur vents, hot springs, and stunning views of Mount Fuji. Formed by a past eruption, it offers hiking trails and the famous black eggs (kuro-tamago), boiled in sulfuric waters, said to add seven years to one's life.
Hakone Shrine
Nestled in a forest at Lake Ashi’s shores, is a historic Shinto shrine known for its iconic red torii gate standing in the water. It’s a place of spiritual significance and offers stunning views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Visitors can explore its peaceful pathways and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
