Sapanca is a charming lush town surrounded by Sapanca Lake in the north, Adapazarı in the east, Samanlı Mountains in the south, Geyve and Pamukova districts, and Kocaeli central district Izmit in the west. Sapanca Lake, which has the same name as the district, is a tectonic fresh water lake. Due to its natural beauties, the district and the lake surroundings are flooded by visitors coming from Istanbul and the surrounding cities to breathe and rest at the weekend.
