Highlights
The three Landmarks of Portoferraio are the Romans, the Medici and Napoleon. Your guide will be able to connect these grand periods during the tour. The structure is an amazing military architecture, just to mention some small details all the loopholes have a distinct direction to be able to see the sea and the land from every angle. The Fort can be seen from the outside or can be visited internally, where you will see the galleries that were turned into the quarters of the Royal Marine during World War II.
