After about 2 hours, head west along a rough road to the Rufiji River. After lunch at the camp, board the boat and discover the Rufiji River. Colored birds, such as the Kingfisher or Bee-eater, frolic in large groups on the banks of the Rufiji in search of food. Hippopotamus families keep cool in the water. Crocodiles avoid the hippos and stay well hidden, they prefer to bask on the shore.
