Highlights
We will walk through one of Sicily's most beautiful towns, Noto, learning about the history and the secrets of this town, the mother of Sicilian baroque style. It was built after a major earthquake in 1693 that destroyed all of the East of Sicily. Noto city became the inspiration for all the other cities being restored.
After this visit we will go to visit a roman Villa with stunning mosaics and to end the tour we will visit a stunning traditional 17th Century Fishing village, a real master piece of traditional fishing marine industry.
Itinerary
We will visit Noto, this walking tour will last around 2 hour max visiting the most important churches and viewing the most important palaces, learning all the history of one of the biggest town council of Italy's. How can be that a small town of 24,000 people has more land than Milan?
Then we will move by car to visit the Roman Villa (free entrance) with incredible mosaics, the artistic composition and the colours make this archeological area extremely special and well worth seeing, this visit will last around 30 minutes max.
Our last destination is Marzamemi one of most famous fishing village in Italy, the kingdom of one of the most famous family's of Sicily. In this location we will learn all about the history of the tuna industry, which was a real boost for the Sicilian economy.
