- Validity: The E-Ticket is valid for three months from the date of purchase. The physical pass is valid for 3 consecutive days from the selected starting date.
- Tokaido Shinkansen: Please note that the JR TOKYO Wide Pass cannot be used on the Tokaido Shinkansen.
- Reserved Seats: While unlimited, reserved seat tickets must be issued at a JR EAST Ticket Office, Travel Service Center, or Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machine before boarding.
- Usage Period: Usage and pass exchange begin from August 21, 2025.

- Lost Passes: Physical passes cannot be reissued if lost, even with a copy of the E-Ticket.
- This pass is strictly for foreign visitors who possess a valid passport issued by a country other than Japan.
- Eligibility is verified at the time of purchase, exchange, and during the period of use; you must present your physical passport.
- Adult: Aged 12 and above.
- Child: Aged 6 to 11.
- Infants (under 5): Generally free if they do not require a seat. If a reserved seat is needed, a child's pass must be purchased.
- Age is determined based on the date the pass is purchased.
- Original physical passport (copies are not accepted for exchange).
- Mobile or printed E-Ticket voucher.
- Your booking will be confirmed instantly.

- Before Exchange: A 10% refund fee applies. Refunds are possible within 1 year from the date of purchase.

JR Tokyo Wide Pass is excellent value for long day trips, and buying via Pelago is smooth and reliable. ⚠️ During festive seasons, pre-book reserved seats immediately—the pass does not guarantee seating. Plan early or risk ruining your holiday
JR Tokyo Wide Pass offers strong savings for trips like Fuji, Karuizawa, or Gala Yuzawa. Pelago makes purchase and redemption straightforward. However, in peak/holiday periods, reserved seats sell out fast. 👉 Activate the pass early and book seats right away, otherwise you may be forced to stand or be unable to board. Bottom line: great pass, only with early seat reservations.
Such an easy transaction. Buy the pass from Pelago, pick up at the train station service Centre and you are all ready to go. Will totally do it again because of the discount coupons & extra SQ miles offered by Pelago.
It’s exactly the same ticket when buying at the JR centers, but you get extra discounts/ SQ miles when you buy on Pelago. Got my seat reservations done at the same time.
Fuss free redemption and good for travelling to many parts of Japan. A tip is to redeem it on your 2nd day to maximize the pass duration.
