Turin Cathedral: The Only Renaissance Building in Turin's History, a most important place in the city because it houses Christianity's most significant relic: the Holy Shroud. Royal Palace: The Command Center of the Savoy Dynasty for Three Centuries. Rectangular in shape, it's surrounded by arcades and theatrically enclosed by two famous twin churches. At its center stands Turin's iconic monument: the equestrian sculpture of Duke Emanuele Filiberto. This renowned Savoy Duke moved the capital of the Duchy of Savoy from Chambéry to Turin in 1563, transforming Turin into a capital city.
