Highlights

Dhampus village (1650m) is situated on the north from the Pokhara valley beside gorgeous views of golden rice terraces from the farmer. Hiking to this village offer wonderful view of mountain, nature, landscape and internal silence. Different class of birds to the village of Dhampus populated welcome by the Gurung committee. Tourists usually stay here as a halt point its main income source roundabout to local people. Dhampus hiking is suitable for who have short holidays. This hiking route is much ideal because in the Annapurna region, Dhampus hill is one of the best view point of Nepal places in the earth. From Dhampus, one can also clutch the outstanding view of Pokhara and the landscape gets even better as the sun goes down.

    Drive to Dhampus [2 Hrs]. Early morning (09:00) drive to Dhampus and check in at hotel. Then trek to Australian Camp, Enjoy views and trek back to Dhampus for overnight. This scenic Gurung Village is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities and it offers a spectacular view of the Himalayan ranges including the Anapurna and Machhapuchhare range. Dhampus is quiet, serene and amazingly beautiful. It is an ideal place to return back to beautiful nature after being in a city for several months. You can see the beautiful sunset and next morning a beautiful sunrise on the Himalayas from Dhampus. Dhampus is not just a Mountain View point but a culturally rich village of the ethnic Gurung people. You will also have an opportunity for a close look at the daily lives of the villagers.
