Enjoy a leisurely visit to the magnificent Highclere Castle, home to the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. Go behind the scenes and you will recognise many of the rooms used for filming the drama. During this unaccompanied visit of the Castle, you will also have time to see the highly acclaimed Egyptian Exhibition. Relive the moment when, in November 1922, Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings. Enjoy lunch in one of the Castle’s several tea rooms or café, and maybe sample one of their famous cocktails or even a glass of champagne. Later, explore the Castle’s delightful gardens, woodland walks and flower meadow.
