Chibam Land
ChibaumLand is a portmanteau of Chiba (Chiba Village) and Baum (German for
tree), and is a series of original video works created by light papercut
artist Atsumi Sakai, featuring a magic lantern space. Composer and musical saw
player Hajime Sakita has created a special piece incorporating the sounds of
local animals, water, and wind. This project aims to bring new vitality to
this facility, beloved by many since the Showa era, and the three artists have
created this work based on the concept of "urban development," with the hope
of promoting the long-term coexistence of humans and nature.
-How to view-
You can enjoy the seven video works in the magic lantern space at your own
pace.
・Secret Tunnel
・Prayer Star Tree
・Guardian of the Forest
・Kazemeikan
・Aurora Forest
・Otoemaki Museum
Each video is approximately 7 minutes long. We recommend bringing a lantern.
