Our next destination is the impressive Cahir Castle, one of Ireland’s largest and best-preserved medieval fortresses. Nestled on a rocky island on the River Suir, the castle features massive defensive walls, towers, and a beautifully restored keep that offers a glimpse into Ireland’s feudal past.

Stop 3. Rock of Cashel. Step back in time at the iconic Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most spectacular and historically significant sites. According to legend, this is where St. Patrick converted King Aenghus of Munster to Christianity in the 5th century. The Rock went on to become the seat of the High Kings of Munster and was later gifted to the Church, giving rise to the magnificent medieval structures that remain today.

The site features a 12th-century round tower, Romanesque chapel, Gothic cathedral, and Cormac’s Chapel-one of the finest examples of Hiberno-Romanesque architecture in the country.
