First, we will walk around Aoba Oden Street and Aoba Yokocho, famous for Shizuoka Oden, Shizuoka's soul food.


Shizuoka Oden is a dish made by skewering ingredients and simmering them in a black broth.
Ingredients include beef tendon, black hanpen and vegetables.
When eaten, it is topped with ao and shavings of sardines or mackerel.


There are dozens of shops serving this oden this area .Enjoy mingling with the locals, the scenery lined with lanterns and eating oden.


Next, Nihondaira Hotel, where you can enjoy the night view.　
Located in Nihondaira, Shizuoka City, overlooking Mt. Fuji and the Miho Matsubara, Nihondaira Hotel is a popular hotel where you can enjoy spectacular views both day and night.

    Shizuoka oden, the soul food of Shizuoka, can be found on Aoba Oden Street and Aoba Yokocho. The area is also a great place to make friends with people you have never met before sitting next to you. Enjoy mingling with the locals, the unique scenery with its lanterns and the chance to compare oden tastes. Shizuoka oden is characterised by ingredients stewed in a black broth and served one by one on skewers. Beef tendon, black hanpen, vegetables and other ingredients are stewed and eaten with aonori (green laver) and dashi powder (shavings of sardines and mackerel).
