Highlights
An interesting and beautiful hike in one of the sides of the mountain of Lagoa do Fogo. This is a hike filled with tunnels that go from pastured fields with cows to forests with valleys and lush vegetation!
In the end of this hike, we will visit one of the main lagoons of the island - Lagoa do Fogo - which is one of the seven wonders of Portugal.
This hike takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish and it is around 7.6 km (4.7miles) long with an easy/medium difficulty level.
Itinerary
Janela do Inferno
We will begin this tour with an easy trail located near Fogo volcano and it starts and finishes in the same place. In this trail, you will see diverse vegetation and walk through small mystical tunnels. Then, we will go to the top of the mountain where you will be able to see the Fogo lagoon one of the 7 wonders of Portugal.
