Highlights

We will enjoy nature with a hike in the beautiful Sierra Oaxacana. We will have breakfast at a traditional market. We will know the town of Roaguia, we walk the area along paths and sidewalks, there are petrified waterfalls known as Hierve el Agua, we enjoy the pools and special views. We will have a traditional meal and visit a palenque to taste mezcals of the area. In this tour we hope to raise awareness of the natural and cultural richness of Oaxaca, local consumption to help the economy of Oaxacan artisans and towns. We will know and learn traditions (gastronomy, crafts) and special places (petrified waterfalls, villages, landscapes), we will have unique memories.

Itinerary

  • Oaxaca

    We begin our tour or experience by picking up tourists in their accommodations within the city, or in the office. We are all headed to our traditional breakfast at a local market.

  • Mercado de la Merced

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    In the market (may vary according to need) we will have a traditional breakfast to have energy for the whole tour. At the end we moved to our hike in Hierve el Agua.

  • Hierve el Agua

    3 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    We visit the petrified waterfalls located in Roaguia, there we take a hike to meet and enjoy without hurry, we are an average of 3 hours on site. Our tour will take us from the top to the bottom of the petrified waterfalls, viewing areas, places for photography, special places for locals and pools where we will have free time. At the end we moved to a mezcal factory, to taste and relax muscles.

  • Parador Casa Espadín -

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    After the approximately 3 hour walk, we have a chat and tasting in a palenque de mezcal with a local family. At the end of the tasting we move to eat.

  • Restaurante / Hotel Donaji

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    We have an average of one hour to eat and the place may vary according to times or needs.

  • Oaxaca

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    At the end of the meal we return to the city of Oaxaca, this tour can take us about 1 hour.
