Highlights
The Ming Tombs, located in Changping District, Beijing, are the burial sites of thirteen Ming emperors, covering approximately 120 square kilometers. Built along the mountains, the tombs feature grand layouts combining ancient Chinese geomancy and imperial architectural style. The most famous tomb is Dingling, the only emperor’s tomb that has been archaeologically excavated. It houses a wealth of cultural relics and burial artifacts, showcasing the royal culture and funeral customs of the Ming Dynasty. Visitors can explore the tomb structures, stone carvings, and ancient exhibits, experiencing the solemnity and historical depth of the Ming imperial family.
