A serene walk into the tea garden of Illam offers many beautiful sightseeing spots, short hike towards the easy slopes through mountain streams and waterfalls. Illam might be an excellent gateway from your city life. Illam is home to many valuable cash crops like cardamom, potato, ginger, red round chilly, broom grass, etc. So, it is commonly called one of the richest districts in Nepal. Not only this, but Illam also boasts its richness in terms of its cultural diversity and variations in landscapes. Lepcha, Brahmin, Gurung, Magar, Rai, Limbu, and Chettri tribes of people inhabit this area especially.
