  Our first stop invites you to discover the private Peyreiras Reserve in Marozevo. It offers a captivating introduction to Madagascar’s biodiversity, where chameleons, leaf-tailed geckos, brightly coloured frogs, rare snakes, crocodiles and semi-free-roaming lemurs can be observed in a peaceful and accessible setting. A remarkable first immersion into the heart of Madagascar’s unique wildlife and flora.

• Vakona Private Reserve

  In the afternoon, you will continue your visit at the private Vakôna Reserve, a natural area where you can see around fifty Nile crocodiles by the lakeside, a pair of fossas (Madagascar’s largest predator, often likened to a small puma), a wild duck aviary, and a small island home to six species of lemurs. These include sifakas (Propithecus diadema), black-and-white ruffed lemurs (varis), brown lemurs, and bamboo lemurs. The island can also be explored by canoe.

• V.O.I.M.M.A. Community Reserve

  Later in the evening, after checking in and getting comfortable at your hotel, we will conclude this first day with a night walk in the VOI MMA private reserve in Andasibe. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore the forest’s nocturnal life including nocturnal lemurs, chameleons, butterflies, frogs and more, all in an intimate and well-supervised setting led by experienced local guides.
