[Seven Bridges Tour Course 3: Drawing Busan Introduction]
Yeongdo Bridge
Korea’s first land bridge and only bascule bridge, Yeongdo Bridge is a key
landmark in Busan’s modern history. Visitors can witness the unique raising
ceremony every Saturday at 2:00 pm, where one side of the bridge lifts for a
spectacular sight.
Namhang Bridge
Namhang Bridge serves as the gateway to Western Busan, offering breathtaking
panoramic views of nature. It’s quickly becoming a popular tourist attraction,
with nearby highlights like Songdo Beach and the Busan Sea Cable Car,
showcasing the marine charm of Seo-gu.
Eulsukdo Bridge
Known for its eco-friendly design, Eulsukdo Bridge is a sanctuary for both
migratory birds and people. The bridge leads to Eulsukdo Ecological Park,
where visitors can enjoy the serene natural landscape with the Nakdonggang
Estuary Dam in the background.
Gadeokdo Bridge
Gadeokdo Bridge connects Busan’s last inhabited island, Gadeokdo, to the
mainland. Positioned as a symbol of Busan’s aspirations to become a global
hub, this bridge links the city to the wider world.
Signal Bridge
The only arch bridge among the Seven Bridges, Signal Bridge is a blend of
nature and industry. It earned a silver prize at the POSCO Steel Structure
Awards and serves as Busan’s industrial outpost, improving commuting
convenience for the city’s residents.
