Highlights
Travel by road on a full day tour from Christchurch to Mount Cook, Australasia's highest mountain. Along the way you'll pass through the spectacular scenery of the Canterbury Plains, view MacKenzie Basin, Lakes Tekapo and Pukari and Tasman Glacier. Stop at Tekapo for some picture-esque photos and travel onwards to the Mt Cook Heritage Village. Enjoy a lunch at the Hermitage Hotel. 30 minsAdmission Ticket FreeYou will travel by road to Mount Cook through the Canterbury Plains, foothills of the Southern Alps and the MacKenzie Basin. Your will make a short stop en route to the either the Kiwi Country or Tin Shed (an old shearing shed selling discount sweaters) or at Barkers (the largest fruit winery in NZ) for sampling of unique New Zealand products. You will then make a stop at the beautiful Lake Tekapo for morning tea and a photo opportunity.Lake Pukaki
