Highlights
Osaka is known for being the foodie capital of Japan and while that can be felt in the more populated parts of the city, some of the best food is a little bit more out of the way. Tenma, famous for its covered shopping street and historic shrine, gives a truly local feel to visitors. Enjoy some of the best Osaka street-foods in the Tenma side streets before heading to Kyobashi. While tourists flock to Dotombori, the local salarymen blow off steam in Kyobashi. With a 1970s atmosphere, explore classic nightlife activities from standing bars to karaoke bars. While taking in the neighborhoods, enjoy local dishes that vary depending on the day but usually include all the local favorites.
