Highlights
If you are a fan of breathtaking viewpoints and very nice Instagram photos, then this activity is for you. Located at only 30 km from Cluj-Napoca, Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge) is one of the most beautiful gorges from Romania.
There are 2 alternatives for this tour:
a) the adventurous one, where we climb the via ferrata from the gorge;
b) the easy one, where we hike through a lot of scenic viewpoints above the gorge.
You can specify which option you prefer when you book a tour.
The climbing is for people with previous technical experience. We start from the river level and make our way up the gorge, passing through a vertical cave called "Grota lui Hili". The via ferrata is one way only, and the climbing down will be made on a hiking trail.
Alternatively, if you have fear of heights, 0 climbing experience or you are not a big fan of adrenaline, you can choose the hiking option (b). The views are just as breathtaking.

Itinerary
Cheile Turzii
A via ferrata ―an Italian term which means ‘iron path’― is a protected climbing route, built with a steel cable rail affixed to the rock, metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges and zip wires. Previous climbing experience is recommended and definitely no fear of heights! This via ferrata is a medium one (C level) and has some exposed sections. Safety equipment will be provided by us, as well as an unforgettable experience. This activity consists of the following steps: 1. Equipping everyone in the parking lot and providing safety and technical tutorial (20 mins) 2. Hiking through the gorges to the start of the via ferrata (15 mins) 3. Exploring a small fortified cave right next to the via ferrata (15 mins) 4. Climbing on the via ferrata using the provided equipment (2 hours) 5. Photo session on top of the via ferrata (20 mins) 6.
