This Taste and Tour will take you to Vik and Glacier village og Fjærland. The tour is a is a 2 days tour starting from Bergen and include all transport, hotell, lunch, cheese tasting and entrance fee.
The village of Vik is known for its famous cheese Gamalost ("old cheese"). The tour combines cheese tasting with some of the best tourist attractions Norway may offer like Hopperstad Stave Church, Storesvingen View Point, Tvindefossen waterfall as well as Fjord crossing of the magnificent Sognefjord on board MV Fjord Lady. On arrival Fjærland, bus will take you to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. The Norwegian Glacier Museum is an interactive museum for the Whole Family, who gives you knowledge about glaciers and climate in New innovative ways. From the Norwegian Glacier Museum the tour continues up to Bøyabreen glacier – a branch of Jostedalsbreen glacier.

30 minsAdmission Ticket IncludedThe village of Vik has a rich cultural heritage. The main attraction in Vik is the richly decorated stave church “Hopperstad Stavkirke”. Hopperstad was built in 1130 and is, together with Urnes, the oldest stave church in existence. There will be a 30 min. stop to visit the Church. You can join a guided tour of the church or explore at your own pace. The local guide speaks English and Norwegian and the tour is included in the price.Vik Municipality
2 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeGuided tour in Vik and Cheese tasting: Join us for a walk in historically surroundings at Vikøyri. We will stroll between small picturesque homes and boathouses that makes up the beachdweller settlement at Vikøyri. We will also visit one of the small homes that still is left as it was back in the days. The tour will include a taste of the local specialty, "gamalost" which is a cheese that has its origin in vikingtimes. The local dairy is the only dairy in Norway producing this cheese today. Along with the cheese You will be served a raspberry juice. Vik municipality produces approximately 25% of all raspberries in Norway. The waterfall is 110 meter high and is very popular tourist attraction. The Tvindefossen waterfall also has many myths, among others that the waterfall is a source of eternal youth!
